Learning to Ground Ourselves
We have over 100,000 sense receptors in the soles of our feet. They literally serve as tongues for our brain – constantly articulating with every surface providing crucial bio-feedback for communication, movement, emotional stability, balance, and recognition of mother earth. There is an emerging science documenting how conductive contact with the Earth – via direct contact between our feet and the soil – called Earthing or grounding, is highly beneficial to your health. The Earth maintains a negative electrical potential on its surface. Living in direct contact with the earth grounds your body and can work as a ‘natural antioxidant’ – inducing favorable physiological and electrophysiological changes that promote optimum health.
