Keys to a Fruitful Life

#MindfulMonday

Our intentions and habits grow just like a fruit! First we plant a seed; then we water it; then we reap the fruits of our labor. The quality of our effort determines the quality of what comes into fruition (this means the more effort we are willing to put into nourishing ourselves and those around us, the more we increase our potential to grow)! For example, a seed can only grow into a delicious fruit if we provide it with the highest quality of soil. When we choose to think of our mental health as the soil to our physical wellbeing, we can begin to see how a healthy mind can help to create a healthy body! Our mental, physical and spiritual axis are each intertwined and interconnected. For example, if I don’t have lunch today, I won’t fulfill a physical need of mine. Because I didn’t have lunch, I’m going to be cranky (notice how my physical needs impact my emotions). Since I’m cranky, I won’t be able to concentrate on being mindful with the small details through out my day (inherently impacting my spiritual axis). This is an excellent example of how our physical needs can influence our emotional needs; and how our emotional needs can impact our spiritual axis! The first step in creating a balance between these axis can be by creating time for personal reflection (five to ten minutes daily), maintaining physical wellbeing (through exercising regularly, eating nutritious meals and developing good sleep habits), and nurturing our close relationships. Remember guys, in order to change the fruits, you have to change the roots! Even one small step in the right direction can create positive change! With this in our minds, lets make the intentions to strategically plant the seeds of inspiration and mindfulness.
