Today marks the first day of Summer on the Northern Hemisphere of Earth. It’s thought that regular exposure to sunlight contributes to the prevention of many cancers, Multiple Sclerosis, diabetes and high blood pressure – mainly through the regulation of the circadian rhythm as well as other neurotransmitters in our body. What about skin cancer you may ask? Well, it is thought that intermittent exposure to the sun, rather than regular exposure can increase skin cancer. This doesn’t mean we should bake in the sun or shouldn’t still protect ourselves with sunscreen. Getting outdoors once in awhile is very beneficial to our health. After all, nature is the best medicine.
