Couples that Pray Together, Stay Together

When I fell in love for the first time, my heart became consumed by her face. She had become to me like the blood in my veins. There was no happiness outside of being with HER. What I did not know was that this extraordinary love was actually a prison of my own making. I had become a captive of my own desires and relied on her every action to fill me with happiness. This only gave rise to frustration and disappointment.

If something finite, temporary and fading, becomes the center of our reason for existing: we will surely break; it will fade; let us down or pass away and our misery will occur as soon as it does.
Putting our faith in something infinite rather than the individuals we love most, can lead to trust without the need to control. This concept can manifest flourishing relationships that hold no expectations or room for disappointment. The root of love with another individual does not stem from them directly but rather it is a blessing bestowed upon us by the Almighty.
