Nurses’ Week
Last day of nurses week.Taking a moment to appreciate the nurses that don’t often get acknowledged. You know, the busy bees of the unit. The ones responsible for training the over zealous youngins. The ones who possess foresight and patience. The ones who aren’t very vocal but have been diligently loving, caring, and compassionately delivering care for years. Those whose hearts have gone through years of pain of watching families say good bye to loved ones. The ones that stick to strict protocols and still do things by the book. It is an art of discipline and you are master of your craft. This is also for the nurses that have been working for twenty, thirty, even forty years and never once heard ‘thank you’. You know who you are. You have inspired the likes of me and set the bar very high. So next time you’re in a hospital, a clinic, at home being visited; take a moment to appreciate these angels. They do a lot; they just don’t mention what they do. It’s the humility in them. Happy Nurses’ Week my nursing family. Till next year.
