A Study on Human Emotions
Researchers from Finland have mapped the human emotions for the first time. A study on over 700 participants from Finland, Sweden, and Taiwan showed that different emotional states have an effect on our normal bodily sensations. It showed that the human body physiologically functions differently dependent on the mood/emotional state we are consciously in.
This another great example of the mind, body, and soul connection. You have full control over what emotions you choose to feel. It has been proven that even when you are sad: if you smile for thirty seconds – whether it be fake or genuine – the body reacts in a positive manner: you actually become happier. We choose what signals our brain should send to the body. This type of research could help explain why making an effort to smile more or sitting straight instead of slouching can alter our brain, improve our mood, and change our general disposition.
